Highly regarded Senior Financial Planner, Michael Osbourne, has now joined the team at 123 Financial Group based in Charlestown.
Michael brings with him a wealth of experience, which he has gained over the years working in the Hunter for two of Australia’s big four banks.
Well known in financial circles, Michael has coached and mentored many financial planners in Newcastle.
However, Michael’s move to 123 Financial Group (previously 123 Accounting) is a calculated one.
It’s a great opportunity for him to be able to share his knowledge with a younger client base (20s to 40s) who are hungry for sensible financial advice — perhaps now more than ever.
Michael believes it’s so important to try and strike the right work-life balance, which is why he will be working across four days a week.
“By that I mean that no-one’s story is pre-set. It’s far too easy to get caught up in your job, especially in the corporate world, and lose sight of where you’re heading,” he said.
“Because of what is happening with the coronavirus, we all have a chance to re-assess what we have and where we’re headed.”
He said that despite the uncertainty of the current financial climate, now is the perfect time to be trying to assess the important things that could help us further down the line.
“There are so many things we can’t control at the moment — but there are also plenty of steps we can all take that are going to make a big difference down the track.”
Michael’s new role comes at a time of growth for 123 Financial Group under the leadership of Director Jennifer Richardson.
The business has grown over 20 years from a home office to a suite of financial services.
These services include financial planning, insurance and loans brokerage, business support services, aged care financial advice and taxation.
