Carrington-based marketing agency, The Marketing GP, has rounded out a record year of client and team growth and service expansion with the hire of two additional local marketing specialists to its team.
The two new additions have grown the boutique agency to a team of 16 people.
Chief Marketer and Managing Director, Holly Martin said the expansion is reflective of businesses focusing on growth after coming out of lockdown and the increased demand for digital marketing services.
“The lockdowns resulting from COVID-19 demonstrated the importance of maintaining marketing to ensure businesses come out of the other side stronger. We’ve had many of our new clients reach out to us over that time as well as existing clients increase their service needs in light of this,” Holly said.
“But it has also set a precedent regarding business digital marketing. Poor digital presence is extremely damaging to brands, and with the uptake of technology as a means to shop, communicate and entertain more than ever before, it’s essential that businesses spend time on their digital marketing, as part of a wider marketing strategy.”
Joining the team with previous experience working in a Newcastle-based public relations agency, Communication Coordinator Brodey Corbett has added to the media and communication prowess of the team. Joining her is Billy Breaden, who has taken the reigns as a Marketing Coordinator, moving from in-house roles to the agency space.
Both seasoned marketing professionals in the Hunter, Billy and Brodey have taken to the fast-paced environment of the business and are delivering solutions to businesses to help continue their upward trajectory.
“I’ve always been inspired by the culture of The Marketing GP and I’m thrilled to both be a part of the team and add my own flair to the way we deliver for our clients,” Brodey said.
“We work with businesses across various industries; locally, across the state and Australia; and of various sizes. The opportunity to find new and effective ways to give our clients a leg ahead of their competitors is exciting.”
Billy was ready to make the shift in his career to work within an agency and had been keeping his eye out.
“My previous in-house roles have seen me work across a multitude of industries, allowing me to build a great foundation for my shift into agency world, and I am looking forward to taking that experience and applying it to the broad range of clients we have,” Billy said.
Holly said the business growth is also relative to the increased demand for website services, campaigns, HubSpot onboarding and implementation, and the return of events.
“We’re constantly looking at the next innovations and technologies for our clients. Bringing new marketing minds into the business helps us to challenge the status quo for our clients and ensure they are the leaders in their industries,” Holly said.
“Billy and Brodey bring some great expertise to our team and we’re proud to provide a platform for these marketing stars to shine.”
