PWC welcomes new addition to its team

PWC Newcastle has announced that they are bolstering their practice with the addition of a new partner to its team, Amy Etherton, who joins Caroline Mara, Murray Evans and Angela Higgins in the Newcastle team.

PWC Newcastle’s Managing Partner, Caroline Mara, said she is thrilled to see Amy join their leadership team, and has been impressed by Amy’s growth with PWC over the years.

“Amy joined PWC Newcastle in 2009 and during that time has worked with teams from across PWC Australia’s state and territory offices (including two years on secondment to PWC Perth) as well as PWC’s international network,” Caroline said.

“She is known for her commercial and practical approach and has worked with some of Australia’s prominent families and corporates on complex transactions. I am genuinely thrilled to see her join the leadership team in Newcastle as we continue to grow our business.

“We’re proud to employ almost 70 local staff, which includes six graduate hires over the past 12 months. Our all roles flex policy, which is supported by technology that enables our people to work seamlessly from any location, means PWC Newcastle is also the base for a number of staff working in national teams,” she continued.

With the Hunter representing Australia’s largest regional economy, Amy said she is excited to continue the growth of PWC.

“I’m delighted to be joining the PWC Australia partnership and the Newcastle partners, as together we continue to grow the business in this vibrant region,” she said.

“We have a great team of people who have an excellent track record of delivering outstanding results for our clients, including transformational infrastructure projects currently underway in the Hunter region.

With PWC being part of a global network of firms, Amy said that PWC can tap into diverse expertise around the country, which differentiates their service from what’s on offer in the local market.

Amy graduated from the University of Newcastle with a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Law and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
