Some familiar faces can be seen within the Hunter Young Professional (HYP) Board for 2015, as well as some new recruits.
It is the second year running for an all-female HYP executive, with Adel Issa from the University of Newcastle continuing her third term as President. Joining Adel is Emily Bowen from Forsythes Recruitment as Vice President, Alex Nicolaidis from Booksmart Accounting Solutions as Treasurer and Hanna Barry from Forsythes Business Advisors in the role of Secretary.
“We have a very dynamic board for 2015 and I am really looking forward to an innovative and action-packed calendar of events” Adel said.
“HYP is looking to explore a number of new initiatives and build on our existing platforms as we provide unique networking and professional development opportunities to the ever growing community of young professionals throughout the Hunter area.”

This year marks the 25th anniversary for HYP, which originally formed as the Newcastle & Hunter Junior Chamber before being rebranded to Hunter Young Professionals in 2013.
“25 years of providing opportunities for the Hunter’s young business community is a significant achievement; it is great to see our member and supporter base continuing to grow,” Adel said.
Hunter Young Professionals provides opportunities for young people to network in a business environment, gain new management and leadership skills and support the local community.
