From its Hunter-base in Carrington, Hi-Vis Group has grown to be a large signage manufacturer in Australia servicing customers both nationally and internationally.
To support its growth and expand on its existing manufacturing hub, the group has recently opened a new multi-million dollar facility that will house a new technology centre, offices and warehousing facilities.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter, Scot MacDonald officially opened the new building and congratulated Directors, Brett and Simon Watson, for their hard work, dedication and vision.
Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Councillor Nuatali Nelmes was also in attendance and shared her support for the Newcastle success story and future direction of the group.
The launch invited around 65 of Hi-Vis Group’s clients, Nuatali and Scot to a morning tea and tours of the new facility escorted by Brett and Simon.
Simon and Brett said that they appreciated their loyal customers, suppliers and staff who have helped made the new facility possible.
“This is a very exciting time for our business, which continues to diversify further into the Intelligent Traffic Systems known as ITS and Smart Cities Projects,” Simon and Brett said.
“Hence, the need for more office space, research and development laboratories, test areas, further pallet storage and more room to display and demonstrate our products.”
“We predict with the current growth in this area we could need 30 additional people, taking our workforce to around 100 in the very near future, all operating from this facility.”
The group was recently awarded the Hunter Business Awards President’s Award for 2018.
Hunter Business Chamber President, Jonathan Vandervoot said the local business has performed successfully on an international scale.
“Hi-Vis has grown … in what is a highly competitive international market and successfully designed and patented products which are not only iconic but have demonstrably saved lives,” Jonathan said.
Hi-Vis Group supplies signage and safety related products to all sectors of industry including government, corporate, civil, construction, retail sectors.
