Greater Bank has been named the 2018 Home Lender of the Year in Money magazine’s 14th annual Consumer Finance Awards.
This continues what has already been a big year for the Hunter-based community bank, who in February was named for the second consecutive year, Bank of the Year in the National Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.
These national accolades combined demonstrate Greater Bank’s reputation for quality service and great value amongst consumers and industry experts alike.
Greater Bank Chief Executive Officer, Scott Morgan was proud to receive the award which reinforces the value proposition that can be found outside the major banks.
“We are thrilled with our most recent achievements and take pride in being acknowledged for our competitive interest rates and ability to offer excellent value to satisfy the diverse needs of our customers,” Scott said.
“As a business we have undergone significant change over the past two years, but have remained consistent with our focus on providing a quality range of products and offerings that are delivered with the highest standards of customer service.
“Like the majority of financial institutions, home lending plays a significant role in our overall financial success and this award reinforces to current and potential customers that Greater Bank offers some of the best value home loans in the country.
“This, along with the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award, shows that we are providing customers with outstanding service and quality products, which is fundamental to the growth and sustainability of our business. In delivering this, it provides us with more flexibility in terms of redistributing profits back into the organisation to help lower fees and increase the value of our products.
“We’re seeing a real shift in the industry as more consumers recognise this and look to put trust in financial institutions beyond the Big Four; an industry label which is becoming somewhat outdated as more players take to the field and competition starts to level.”
The Consumer Finance Awards involve a Canstar review of more than 15,000 financial products and services from over 200 financial institutions throughout Australia. The results provide customers with unbiased and accurate information that enables them to make informed decisions about their banking needs.
In determining the award, Greater Bank’s portfolio of fixed and variable home loan products, along with line of credit facility, scored well all round by Money Magazine.
Across NSW and South-East Queensland, Greater Bank has a customer base of more than 260,000 and over 700 employees who work across 59 branches to deliver the highest standards of service.
