Award-winning Media Sales Executive Cassandra Agnew has developed a strong reputation in the Newcastle and Hunter region through her extensive work in the media industry.
After 13 years of local experience within the radio and television industries, Cassandra recently made the move into a newly created position of Business Manager for Newcastle and Central Coast based Australian outdoor advertising and media company, oOh!media.
Cassandra said the decision to move from one platform to another within the media industry would broaden her extensive knowledge while complementing her long and successful career in broadcast media.
“I really wanted to broaden my knowledge, and I could see the strengths of Out of Home advertising and how the media industry was changing,” Cassandra said.
“I had always liked the idea of billboards and how creative you can be, but I’ve since learned that oOh! is so much more than that and has a very sophisticated approach to outdoor advertising.
“I am really excited to be working on a huge range of advertising opportunities, such as airports, street furniture and roadside messaging. I love the idea of the digital out of home space.”
Established in 1989 under the name Outdoor Network Australia by Brendon Cook, oOh!media has grown to be the leading Australian operator of Out of Home advertising products, and is also the majority shareholder in Junkee Media.
Previously Newcastle and Hunter clients were serviced from the business’ Sydney head office. However, the company recognised the opportunity to expand its reach in the Newcastle and Central Coast regions by appointing the right Business Manager, someone with extensive local knowledge and experience.
It was fitting that Cassandra join the company and help grow the business regionally at a time when the team is celebrating 30 years of success.
“Newcastle is a massive regional market with so much growth opportunity, and I know the businesses of this region will continue to embrace the Out of Home industry,” Cassandra said.
“For a long time, Newcastle and Central Coast were serviced from Sydney and it became apparent that they needed a Business Manager on a full-time basis.”
“I’m excited to be the one that will continue to lead this already successful company to the next level in this region.”
