2022 Hunter Business Awards Finalists announced

Business Hunter has announced the 2022 Hunter Business Awards Finalists.

CEO, Bob Hawes reached out to the finalists across 16 categories last week to congratulate them on their successful submissions.

“Growing further on the record 2021 entries, 2022 has been our most contested Awards in the forty years since they began, with around 170 entries being judged,” Bob said.

“This is an amazing response when you consider the year many businesses have experienced as they continue to battle the disruption, uncertainties and down-right frustrations in the current economy.

“Business Hunter is offering our region a chance to continue this great tradition of recognising excellence and celebrating our regional business’ achievements.”

The Hunter Business Awards seek to highlight the important contributions businesses make to the local, national and global business communities.

Held annually for more than 40 years, the program is known for celebrating the achievements and entrepreneurial spirit of our region’s most inspiring organisations and individuals.

The Awards provides businesses an opportunity to reflect on the goals, strategies and vision which have shaped their success, and the insights they gained helped to drive growth and the longevity of their business.

“The judges had their work cut out for them scoring and selecting the finalists from a group of outstanding entries. It’s clear that after another challenging year, businesses have come back with gusto and are clearly committed to excellence in their services, operations and employment,” Bob said.

“After running the Awards event for the last two years at the Civic Theatre in a modified fashion to accommodate Covid restrictions we are looking forward to hosting a gala event at the NEX on 26 August.

“We thank all the businesses that entered the Awards and whilst not all can be finalists, hope they all feel extremely proud of what they have achieved and will be recognised for, during the 2021/22 year of doing business in the Hunter.”

We are the largest regional peak business group in Australia, representing members across all business and industry sectors. Business Hunter is a not-for-profit member organisation dedicated to connecting people in business with what they need to succeed.

We have been the voice of business in the Hunter since 1886. Our members are part of a network of more than 2,500 businesses across the region. That network includes members of 20 aligned local chambers across 10 local government areas, stretching from the Mid North Coast to Lake Macquarie and inland to Scone. The name Business Hunter was adopted in February 2020 to better reflect the vibrant and diverse businesses the organisation represents. The new name also aligns with our affiliates Business NSW and Business Australia.
