Newcastle Permanent Building Society has announced the appointment of Margie Haseltine as a Non-Executive Director to its Board.

Margie is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has attended Harvard University’s General Manager School, and holds a number of leadership qualifications.

Newcastle Permanent Building Society Chair, Jeff Eather, said the appointment recognised Margie’s qualifications and directorial experience.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I’m delighted to welcome Margie to Newcastle Permanent,” Jeff said.

“Margie brings with her more than a decade of board experience and a highly successful executive career with Mars Incorporated.

“Her experience in change management, information technology, and strategic procurement adds to the existing depth and diversity of our Board of Directors. I am confident her skills will complement those of the other Newcastle Permanent Directors.

“Newcastle Permanent is the most financially secure building society in Australia in terms of net assets. The Board’s role is to govern Newcastle Permanent and enhance and protect the long-term value for its customers.”

Margie said she is proud to be joining Newcastle Permanent’s Board.

As a Central Coast resident, I was very attracted to be part of an organisation that gives so much back to their members and their community,” Margie said.

Margie joins other Directors Jeff Eather (Chair), Ross Griffiths, Jennifer Leslie, Samantha Martin-Williams, Phil Neat and David Shanley.
