Local accountants go national

Farrow Wyatt Chartered Accountants recently announced they are joining the national Pitcher Partners association of accounting, audit and advisory firms.

Farrow Wyatt will adjust their name to Pitcher Partners in October 2013, a change that coincides with the opening of its new Newcastle office.

Managing Partner of Farrow Wyatt, Greg Farrow says that Farrow Wyatt has been advising and supporting the Hunter region business community for over forty years with offices in Maitland and Singleton.

“Joining the Pitcher Partners network is a deliberate move to provide the growing Newcastle and Hunter region with a depth of resources and advice very few professional services firms can offer,” Greg said.

“We have witnessed an increasing maturity of businesses within the Hunter and in particular in the middle market who require a level and depth of knowledge that can normally be obtained only from leading national firms.”

“Whilst Farrow Wyatt has achieved much over the years, joining with a national firm will help us meet the needs of an increasingly sophisticated business market “.

By joining Pitcher Partners, Farrow Wyatt will also become members of Baker Tilly International, giving their clients access to resources internationally.

“We are joining the Pitcher Partners association, we are not selling the practice, merging, amalgamating or transferring control.”

“We are very excited about this arrangement which enhances our ability to remain at the forefront of assurance, advisory, taxation and commercial issues, whilst importantly preserving the firm's independence and ownership.”

Farrow Wyatt currently has a combined 60 partners and staff and are looking to significantly expand within the Hunter region.

Don Rankin, National Chairman of the Pitcher Partners Association says that they always looks to grow organically through high quality firms that share the same values and vision.

“The Hunter is a major Australian economic growth centre, with many emerging and entrepreneurial businesses,” Don said.

“Strategically joining with Farrow Wyatt provides Pitcher Partners with a great opportunity for growth and to become the leading middle market firm in the region.”

The Pitcher Partners association is a Top 10 Accounting firm represented in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and now in the Hunter.

The combined firms will have 95 partners and more than 1000 staff with each firm operating as a separate independent business, but with a shared commitment to common values including providing exceptional client service, technical expertise, rigorous and practical commercial advice and a caring working environment.
