Mullane & Lindsay Solicitors has again been recognised as one of the region’s leading family law specialists by the 2022 Doyles Guide of Leading Law Firms.
The practice has been named as one of only three listed Leading Family & Divorce Law Firms in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, and Central Coast region.
Three of the firm’s accredited specialist family lawyers are also named in the prestigious guide, where entries are determined through online peer-based surveys as well as extensive interviews with clients, peers, and relevant industry bodies.
Mullane & Lindsay Director, Mark Sullivan, who this year celebrated 40 years as a family lawyer, has been named a Leading Family and Divorce Lawyer.
Mark has been a Principal and Director of Mullane & Lindsay since 1985 and leads the firm’s Separation, Family, Relationships Law group.
Fellow Director, Ashleigh John has been named a Recommended Family and Divorce Lawyer.
Ashleigh is President of Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and former chair of Greater Newcastle Family Law Pathways Network.
Special Counsel, Catherine Williams has been listed as a NSW Family Law Rising Star. Catherine has extensive experience in family law and general legal practice, now specialising in complex family law cases.
It’s the sixth consecutive year Mullane & Lindsay has been recognised by Doyles. Director, Kristy Nunn says it reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to deliver quality, values-based services to clients and the wider community.
“Our lawyers’ dedication extends beyond supporting families through difficult relationship breakdowns,” Kristy said.
“Our people have always taken active roles in the community whether it be lecturing, mentoring, and employing next generation lawyers from the University of Newcastle, or volunteering for leadership and advocacy roles with NSW Law Society, Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association and Women in Law.”
Mullane & Lindsay’s Family Law team includes Rose Laffan who holds a Master of Applied Law (Family Law), and is ably supported by Rebecca Fren, Angela Newsome and Sally-Anne Todkill.
Over 45 years, the firm has produced family law barristers, a Family Court registrar and judge, and more recently a Federal Circuit and Family Court judge to the Court’s Newcastle registry.
“To be recognised by our industry peers as leading the way is a wonderful endorsement of the legal talents and expertise across our entire practice,” Kristy concluded.
