A collective of Hunter region entrepreneurs and sports administrators have collaborated to launch Golf Daze, an independent mobile entertainment and leisure startup. The company has engineered a commercial digital golf simulator integrated within a purpose-built caravan chassis, creating a transportable sport-technology asset designed for corporate functions, sporting clubs, regional events, and consumer leisure hire.
The vehicle architecture incorporates Full Swing KIT tracking systems alongside digital simulation hardware capable of rendering global sporting venues in a high-resolution format from within the custom cabin.
The founding group behind the enterprise consists of General Manager Mark Forster, corporate investor Clint Newton OAM, and technology entrepreneur Justin Hales, who previously founded listed caravan sharing platform Camplify.
To deliver the specialised automotive structural layout, Justin collaborated with national RV manufacturer JB Caravans and its executive design team, including Alex Pi and Sharon Xue, to develop the custom-engineered build alongside a dedicated consumer booking and marketing interface.
Justin noted that combining advanced recreation hardware with transportable infrastructure creates a scalable franchise model.
“I’m incredibly excited to help bring another Hunter-born business to life,” Justin said.
“We’ve taken world-class golf technology and combined it with the mobility and freedom of a caravan to create something completely unique. What excites me most is the potential. This is a business that can go almost anywhere, introduce more people to the game and create opportunities for local operators right across Australia.”
The business model focuses on building a structured franchise network across Australia and New Zealand, targeting the commercial event hire sector. General Manager Mark Forster will oversee initial operations within the Newcastle and Hunter pilot market until local territory operators are appointed.
Mark stated that mobility resolves traditional geographical and real estate barriers associated with commercial golf infrastructure.
“Golf Daze is all about making golf more accessible, social and flexible. We want more people to feel the excitement of hitting a good shot that sparks their passion for golf and helps the game grow,” Mark said.
“The beauty of the concept is simple – if you can park a caravan there, we can play golf. Whether it’s a corporate event, school, sporting clubs, or a special occasion, we can bring the golfing experience directly to people, creating opportunities for all ages and skill levels to get involved.”
The venture’s governance board includes brand ambassador Clint Newton, who concurrently serves as Chairman of Jack Newton Junior Golf. The foundation established by his late father, professional golfer Jack Newton OAM, remains a prominent junior sports development organisation within New South Wales.
Clint noted that transportable simulation assets align with historical grassroots sports engagement frameworks by lowering cost barriers to athletic equipment.
“When I first saw Golf Daze, I immediately believed people would get excited about it, and imagined the significant impact it would have for engaging the next generation of golfers,” Clint said.
“My father’s mission was always underpinned by the values he instils in players – honesty, trust, integrity, respect, but just as important, he wanted as many kids as possible and people of all ages to be provided with the opportunity to get a golf club in their hands and have fun. Golf Daze ticks those boxes, and I’m thrilled to be joining two passionate Hunter entrepreneurs to make this possible.”
Early business-to-business pipeline demand has emerged from regional councils, corporate entertainment bookings, and community sporting associations, alongside unexpected inbound inquiry from the regional destination wedding sector.
