NFPG adviser Kristy Coulin recognised at RI Advice Group Awards of Excellence in Tokyo

Newcastle Financial Planning Group (NFPG) has much to celebrate following the recent RI Advice Group Awards, held in Tokyo on 29 March at the Happo-En Gardens.

A Reward and Recognition program for Retire Invest’s top performers in the financial planning and risk mitigation sectors, the RI Advice Group Awards offers numerous awards across both practice and individual categories, to celebrate and encourage excellence at every level.

In a successful night for NFPG, not only did it secure nomination for the CEO’s Choice for Practice of the Year ($1M and over) category, it also saw team member Kristy Coulin, former Client Service and Office Manager turned NFPG Financial Planner, take home the Support Person of the Year Award for her contributions to administration.

“It’s wonderful to be recognised,” Kristy said of the award.

“Everyone at NFPG works so hard to deliver the best results for our clients, it’s really a shared win for all of us.”

For NFPG CEO and Managing Director, Daniel Brown, Kristy’s recognition is further evidence of the support shown for women not only within the company but across the wider group.

“Kristy started out in our administration team, and has applied herself diligently over her time here to become one of our most talented and valued financial planners,” Daniel said.

“Her award is timely and well deserved, and a great example of how we encourage everyone who works with us – clients and staff alike – to follow their passion.”

Kristy sees the achievement as a capstone to her administrative career, and hopes it serves as inspiration to others in such support roles.

“It’s an honour to have my years in administration acknowledged in this way,” she said. “And as a financial planner, I can’t wait to build upon the client relationships I’ve established over time in new and exciting ways.”

NFPG now finds itself in the Top 10 for both size and business growth within the RI Advice Group, one of Australia’s oldest and most well-regarded financial advice groups.
