Singleton-based engineering company, Morgan Engineering has strengthened its commitment to the local area by stepping in as Singleton Rugby League Club’s newest First Grade sponsor.
Renowned for delivering high-quality engineering solutions to the mining industry across the region, the team at Morgan Engineering have been supporting the Singleton community for almost five decades.
“Community is everything to us, and we strive to do the best we can for our customers, so we’re thrilled to be the sponsor of First Grade,” General Manager, Jeremy Brett said.
“As a parent of two young boys who play footy, it was a natural fit that we sponsor the first grade team – hopefully my boys will aspire to be first grade Greyhounds one day. If local businesses don’t keep supporting local sporting teams, they may not be there for our kids in the future” Director, Chelsea Morgan-Whitaker said.
“It is extremely rewarding personally to be able to give back to a club that was an important part of my youth and equally rewarding to give back to a community club where our business is located,” Director, Matthew Morgan said.
Alongside his brother, Director Martin Morgan said, “having played League in my youth, being able to support the sport that gave us so much when we were younger feels very fulfilling. The Club plays such an important role in our community.”
The Singleton Rugby League Club has forged a long and proud tradition of producing quality rugby league players and premiership teams.
Singleton Rugby League Club President, Luke Gardner said that sponsors were the lifeblood of the league – helping keep teams (and the overall competition) alive and well in the region.
“We are fortunate to have a local, family-run business support our country club. Without sponsors like Morgan Engineering, we simply don’t have a club.”
“As First Grade naming rights sponsors, Morgan Engineering’s sponsorship helps us pay for the first grade playing kit, which allows us (at the end of our season) to give it to the players.
“The additional support Morgan Engineering provides helps with the day to day running of our club. We are so lucky to have companies like this that want to support sport in Singleton.”
Morgan Engineering and Singleton Rugby League Club can’t wait to see what the 2022 season brings. You will be able to view the season fixture on the website when released early next year.
