Having recently relocated to the Hunter region from North Queensland, Emily Plaza has quickly found herself home as Employment Lawyer in Jenkins Legal & Advisory’s workplace practice.
With several years’ experience practising employment law, she brings to the firm a background in advising on workplace rights, employer obligations, and practical, real-world solutions to employment issues.
Legal Director, Micah Jenkins said the appointment reflects the firm’s continued growth and commitment to meeting increasing demand for specialist employment law advice in the region.

Before joining Jenkins Legal & Advisory, Emily practised in North Queensland, advising clients across a wide range of industries. Her experience includes assisting employers with contracts, workplace policies, performance management and disciplinary processes, terminations, and disputes under the Fair Work Act, including unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
“Newcastle has a strong emphasis on collaboration and practical outcomes, which reflects the changing needs of employers and employees across the region,” Emily said.
