Lambourne Partners Annual Charity Golf Day, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, was held on Friday 3 December at the Newcastle Golf Club.
Over the 10 years, Lambourne Partners have raised $130, 000 for local charities. They have supported charities such as the Hunter Melanoma Foundation, Jenny’s Place, Soul Café, Oz Harvest and Centre for Hope.
This year, the team raised $19,500 for Firstchance – who were their local charity recipient for 2021.
Firstchance provide early intervention for children 0-9 years old with a disability or developmental delay.
They are based in Newcastle and have been helping families in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens for over 40 years.
During this time, they have assisted over 400 families The funds Lambourne Partners raised are going specifically towards funding a little one’s program for 0–3-year-olds.
This will provide support to families and their children who have just become aware there may be concerns over their child’s development, which at this time can be very isolating.
Partner at Lambourne Partners, Chad Stead said that the outpour of support and funds they received from clients, friends, partners, and colleagues for their 10th anniversary event will make a real impact on the lives of others.
“One of Lambourne’s values is care – for our clients, our people and our community. This is why we run our annual charity golf day. It provides an opportunity for our clients, referral partners and sponsors to have a great day out on the course whilst assisting to raise much needed funds for local charities like Firstchance who do not receive the funding they require to assist the community,” Chad said.
“In total we have raised $19,500, which is an outstanding result from everyone who sponsored or attended. We know this will make a difference to local families.”
General Manager at Firstchance, Darleen Taylor said this generous donation will allow their team to provide even more support to children with disabilities and their families.
“At Firstchance we believe all children deserve support to be the best person they were born to be. We are all stronger when everyone is included in our community. Our team at Firstchance work alongside a child’s family to build their capacity to support their child when we are not around. Therefore, giving children with a disability or developmental delay aged 0-9 years every opportunity to thrive,” Darleen said.
“We are so thankful for the support of Lambourne Partners and are thrilled to be the recipient of the $19,500 of funds raised. This makes it even more special. It will make a real difference to local children and their families.”
