Business Growth Centre CEO, Graeme Cotton believes entering the 2018 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards is “a must for any local business looking to grow”.
For the first time in history, the awards has welcomed its official Ambassador; Practice Director,Co-founder of Hunter Plastic Surgery and Business Person of the Year 2016 and 2017, Amber Moncrieff. Amber will help small and medium-sized businesses to win the awards this year.
“The awards are valuable on many levels. Firstly, the submission process is a good discipline for looking at what’s working and what’s not in your business. Then the networking with other finalists is great – I’ve personally employed five finalists from the past couple of years as it is a great way to find switched-on local business owners,” Amber said.
“And finally, the PR aspect – being about to say we are multi-award winning is pretty compelling in our marketing.”
The launch of the 2018 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards will be held on Thursday 1 March 2018 at the Hunter Plastic Surgery office. Dantia, SafeWork NSW, St. George, Zimpleweb, Lake Macquarie City Council, Hunter Plastic Surgery and Precision Taxation Accounting & Management will come together at the launch event as sponsors.
Amber will share her thoughts on the benefits of entering the awards, taking home a win and her secrets on how she wrote winning submissions two years in a row.
“The best way to win awards is to start on writing your submission today. Even jotting down some rough points against each criteria will give you a framework to fill in with lots of good examples in your business over the coming weeks before the final deadline,” Amber said.
