Hunter Children’s Research Foundation welcomes three new committee members

The Hunter Children’s Research Foundation (HCRF) has officially welcomed three new dedicated members to its volunteer-based committee, strengthening its commitment to supporting vital children’s medical research in the Hunter region.

Joining the committee are respected local professionals Alyssa Brault from The Marketing GP, Clare McAteer from Delaney Roberts Specialist Family Lawyers and Kaitlin Dykstra who is an emerging communications expert.

Joining a well-established and experienced group of passionate and determined individuals, the committee is united by its shared mission: to enable research and discoveries so children can grow up and thrive, free from debilitating diseases.

Committee Co-Founder and Treasurer, Lorraine Gardner OAM said Alyssa, Clare and Kaitlin align with the charity’s core values and capacity to inspire meaningful change.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Alyssa, Clare and Kaitlin to the HCRF Committee. Each of them brings valuable expertise, energy and a strong connection to our community, which will help drive forward our mission to fund vital research projects that benefit children in the Hunter and beyond.”

One of the new committee members, Alyssa Brault, is the Chief Marketing Officer at The Marketing GP and a well-known advocate for community-driven initiatives. For Alyssa, the connection to the cause also runs deep.

“My family has experienced the impact of HCRF-supported research firsthand,” Alyssa said. “Both of my children have participated in studies funded by HCRF, which has given me a powerful perspective on how transformative research can be for families navigating health Challenges.”

“Joining the Committee feels like a meaningful way to give back and help families to benefit from life-changing research which is happening right here in the Hunter region.”.

The addition of these three members reflects HCRF’s ongoing efforts to build a strong and diverse committee of professionals who are deeply invested in improving children’s health outcomes through research.

HCRF continues to operate as a 100% volunteer-based committee, directing all donations raised to medical research focused on children’s health, specifically in the areas of asthma, cancer, mental health, premature birth and nutrition.

The committee has released details of its largest fundraiser of the year and is welcoming guests. The Hunter Construction Groups’ Lunch For The Kids with Johanna Griggs is taking place at 12pm on 19 September at Spicers Guesthouse, Pokolbin. Tickets will be released later this month.
