The Business Centre (Newcastle Region) is holding a seminar to help local businesses ensure they are ready for the unexpected.
The free event will help attendees develop an holistic approach in building their organisational resilience, define and valuate business assets and identify and assess their business risks.
Narelle McClelland, General Manager, The Business Centre (Newcastle Region) said that the impact of a crises on a small business can have wide ranging implications for the staff, contractors, suppliers and customers of that business.
“This is all about developing the strategies that minimise the impact an unforeseen event can have, including minimising costs, disruptions and perhaps gaining a reputation of a company that manages well in adverse circumstances,” Narelle said.
Chrys Bekiaris from PKF has 19 years of experience in the risk and management consulting area and will help attendees consider how they can future proof their business.
“The recent storms in the Hunter Region are just an example of a disruption event that in some cases turned into a business disaster,” Chrys said. “Preparing your business for the worst increases the operational readiness towards risks and provides you with tested and efficient mitigation strategies.”
