The 2018 Brand Summit speaker line up has been announced.
Enigma Founder, Lisa Sutton Gardner said the calibre of speakers at this year’s event is a coup for Newcastle and makes The Brand Summit 2018 a must for any marketer or business leader.
“We’re delighted by the response we’ve had from speakers and I’m personally excited to see them in action – I think we’re all set to learn something new and challenge the way we currently think about things, which is basically the whole idea,” Lisa said.
“Over the past 26 years I’ve seen homegrown brands turn into formidable national and international players. There is something special about Newcastle-bred brands and I think the more contemporary, best-practice thinking we can inject into the ones on their way up, the more opportunity they’ll have to thrive in the world.”
The Enigma Brand Summit keynote speaker is Lisa MacCallum who has spent most of her time at NIKE in the US, where she held VP roles and ran the NIKE Foundation at the time of The Girl Effect. Lisa now consults to the world’s most influential companies with her new venture – Inspired Companies. Lisa will talk to the idea that brands grow from the inside-out and introduce a new unstoppable force in business, sharing a framework on how to manage it.
Also taking the stage is sports apparel brand, 2XU’s Chief Marketing Officer, Alastair McCausland. Alastair will speak about how 2XU fostered a winning challenger culture by living its brand promise to become one of the fastest growing sports apparel brands in the world. Alastair cut his teeth as a product manager at Schweppes before climbing the ladder at Cadbury, going on to tackle senior marketing roles at Carlton & United Brewery, Grill’d and Fontera.
Completing the line-up is Nick Freedman, a leading-edge management consultant, who helped Group M, Coke, Salesforce, Westpac, Yahoo and Fairfax, plus 100s of SMEs develop their people and culture. He does this by creating and facilitating learning journeys that transform business by focussing on their people. Nick’s straight-talking keynote will show those present how to develop an inside-out approach to growing business, by taking a serious look at culture and values.
The event, which will be held on September 20 at Foghorn Brewhouse, King street, Newcastle will also incorporate an in-depth panel discussion.
Early bird tickets are currently on sale and can be accessed via Enigma’s website
