Member for Newcastle, Tim Crackanthorp MP has officially cut the red tape for a new clinician-led, strength-based health clinic located on King St, Newcastle.
Touting itself as not a gym, Kieser Newcastle offers a clinician-led, evidence-based strength care model to the Hunter region.
Using strength as a therapeutic intervention to help prevent disease and reduce pressure on hospitals, the new service delivers supervised, individualised and progressive programs delivered by physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and exercise scientists through supervised, individualised and progressive programs.
Kieser Australia Regional Leader, Jedd Mitchell said the Newcastle clinic reflects Kieser’s long-term commitment to the region.
“Kieser is a clinician-led health service that uses strength as medicine. Our Newcastle clinic brings supervised, evidence-based strength programs to the local community, supporting injury recovery, chronic disease management and healthy ageing, while helping reduce preventable pressure on hospitals,” Jedd said.
First established in Switzerland in 1967, Kieser brings its exercise science based approach to the Hunter region, incorporating Swiss-engineered machines that make training safe and effective for participants.
The approach involves two 30-minute sessions per week to reach momentary muscle fatigue.
