Changes afoot for Maitland Chamber

The Maitland Business Chamber saw many changes and improvements during 2013 and this year seems to be shaping up in a similar fashion.

As a regional chamber they depend on the hard work of their volunteer board to deliver their core functions, assisted by one part-time employee.

For the last decade, Maitland-local Kim Watson has served as the Administration Officer for the organisation, however will soon be moving on to pursue new challenges.

Maitland Business Chamber Vice President, Craig McGregor, said that Kim accepted an opportunity to work full time that she just couldn't say no to, and her new employer's gain is the Maitland business community's loss.

“For nearly 10 years Kim has been the face of the Maitland Business Chamber, the one constant through the changing guard of Presidents, elected officers and members,” Craig said.

“She has been the source of knowledge on all things business in Maitland, and when combined with her work in local hospitality and on the front desk at Arnold's Solicitors, there is not much that goes on in and around the businesses of Maitland that has escaped her eye.”

Director of Hunter Recruitment Group, Craig is leading the charge – free-of-charge – to seek applicants and during the transition period he and his team will work to fill the big shoes left by Kim.
