Two talents join Mullane & Lindsay in 2020

Mullane & Lindsay has welcomed two new legal talents, Cavelle Lindsay and Catherine Williams, to its team in Newcastle.

After beginning her career at Sparke Helmore in 2011, and then moving to DWF (Australia), Cavelle Lindsay has now found her home Mullane & Lindsay.

She has joined the Commercial, Property and Estates team in Newcastle, as a Senior Solicitor. Cavelle’s role will focus on building her practice and reputation in Estate Planning, Deceased Estates and Estate Litigation.

Cavelle said she was excited to be joining the team and to work with some of the best in the local legal industry.

“I am very excited to be joining the Mullane & Lindsay team and to be working alongside Robert Lindsay and Felicity Wardhaugh,” Cavelle said.

Cavelle will also continue to develop her practise in various commercial matters, and well as demonstrating her experience in commercial contracts (such as share sale and purchase agreements, business and asset sales and acquisitions, subscription agreements and shareholders deeds), trusts, company and business restructures, governance and company secretarial and intellectual property matters.

Mullane & Lindsay are happy to be welcoming back Catherine Williams, who previously worked with the legal team earlier in her career.

As an Accredited Specialist in Family Law, Catherine brings with her a wealth of experience gained throughout her many years of practice in both the city and country.

Her skills range from complex children’s cases involving allegations of family violence and long distance relocation, to extremely valuable farming property settlement and intergenerational farming transfer cases, and the difficulties faced by people experiencing family breakdown while working in the mining communities throughout the Hunter and Central West regions.

Director of Mullane & Lindsay, Ashleigh John, said it has been great welcoming Cavelle and Catherine to the team.

“We are so very excited to have two such great talents join our firm as it continues to grow in the Newcastle and Hunter regional area,” Ashleigh said.

“With a wealth of experience and expertise, Cavelle and Catherine will further enhance our Estate planning and litigation, and Family Law areas of practice,” she concluded.
