The Office of Environment and Heritage is holding Energy Management Basics training for the Singleton business community next month.

Energy Management Basics training is a practical and interactive course designed to assist businesses understand their energy use, collect and manage data, use energy more efficiently and reduce the cost of energy bills.

The course has been tailored to the needs of small to medium enterprises and the specific requirements of running a business in the Singleton local government area.

Singleton Council’s Director of Planning and Sustainable Environment Mark Ihlein says it is pleasing that the Office of Environment and Heritage has chosen Singleton as a location for this training course.

“The course has already been proven to reduce the energy usage and bills of many businesses in NSW and we are excited to take part in this essential movement towards a more energy efficient Singleton,” Mark said.

“The training offers a unique perspective and provides attendees with personalised business advice and access to post-training support, valued at approximately $3000, to assist with implementation of energy efficiency opportunities arising from the training.”

The training course will be held over two days, Tuesday, 9 June and Tuesday, 16 June 2015, from 12pm to 4pm, at the Singleton Visitor Information and Enterprise Centre, Townhead Park, Singleton.

The cost of training is $50 per person. Participants must attend both days of training and be prepared to bring along documentation pertaining to their energy use.
