James Want was recently appointed Associate Solicitor at Roberts Legal, a local Newcastle law firm with a state-wide reach specialising in commercial litigation, building and construction law and insolvency law.
James recently relocated from the UK to Australia, although he has held a NSW practicing certificate since 2006. Having worked with both large and medium sized firms James is a wealth of knowledge and highly capable of navigating even the most difficult commercial circumstances.
James has been recognised with a number of awards including winning the Finance Monthly Deal Maker of the Year award in 2015 for his transactional work on behalf of a client who purchased a competitor.

On asking why James moved to Australia said that it had been a long term goal of his to move here with his wife and three of his five children.
“My brother lives in Australia and I had been here a few times – when the opportunity arose to move here it was a now or never moment so we did it,” James said.
