Accounting and financial advisory firm Prosperity Advisers Group has announced 22 promotions across its Newcastle, Brisbane and regional office networks. The staffing elevations follow the firm’s recent certification as a Great Place To Work in Australia for 2026-2027, driven by internal workplace evaluation surveys.
The executive promotions are led by Rocky Johnston in Brisbane Financial Services and Laura Balding in Newcastle Business Services and Tax, who have both been elevated to Associate Director. In the Financial Services division, Adam Metcalfe has been promoted to Financial Adviser, Sandy Macleod to Associate Adviser and John Mark Cumal to SMSF Supervisor.
Within the Business Services and Tax division, Catherine Marinov and Zubin Kaiser have been appointed Managers. The firm also promoted Basanta Chapagain, Mary Chio, Katrina Dewar, Regine De Guzman, Marjorie Viloria, Doris Bagtas and Kathleen Climaco to Senior Accountant, while Aila Movilla and Elise Armour progressed to Intermediate Accountant. Dominic David was elevated to Senior Bookkeeper.
Across business management, operational support, and client services, Ruth Dixon has been appointed Senior Operations and Governance Officer. Emma Street and Belinda Kent have been promoted to Senior Payroll Officer, Sue Devon to Senior Administration Assistant, and Lee-Anne Beshara to Personal Assistant.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prosperity Advisers Group, Allan McKeown stated that automating routine administrative functions with technology allows staff to focus on complex advisory work.
“At Prosperity, we are proud to provide a workplace that nurtures career progression and supports our people,” Allan said.
“There’s a lot of noise right now about AI replacing people in our industry, but our view is the opposite. AI gives us an opportunity to double down on our people, not step back from them, freeing our team to focus on the work that matters most: the thinking, the advice and the relationships. These promotions recognise the significant contributions our people make to clients, colleagues, and the firm’s growth, and we look forward to their continued success.”
