Out of The Square & RDA Hunter partner to promote the Hunter for HealthTech

As a result of a new partnership between Regional Development Australia (RDA) Hunter and Out of the Square (OOTS) Media, a brand-new video, Newcastle & The Hunter – HealthTech Ready, was launched this month.

Developed to support the work of RDA Hunter’s Health & Medtech Industry Cluster (HMIC), the video shines a light on the Hunter’s strengths as a collaborative, innovative, knowledge-rich location for the development of new-to-the-world health solutions.

Third in the OOTS series, HealthTech Ready showcases leaders in the region’s health and health industry sector.

Representatives from John Hunter Health Innovation Precinct, Hunter Medical Research Institute, University of Newcastle, Honeysuckle Health, Whiteley Corporation, Ethos Health, and Holland Healthcare give insights into their businesses, the Hunter’s advantages as a HealthTech location and opportunities for the future.

Managing Director and Founder of Out of the Square, Marty Adnum said the concept of the videos has been around for some time, but this is an industry first example.

“The Region Ready concept was initiated in 2019 and we’ve updated it yearly since then. It’s having tremendous traction and great benefit to those that have used it. ‘HealthTech Ready’ is the first of the industry specific series of videos.

“We are world leaders in this field and have so much to be proud of, so it’s only right these organisations are not only showcased but also celebrated,” Marty said.

CEO & Director of Regional Development, Trevor John said they were thrilled to be able to work with OOTS to bring the video to life and showcase their strengths to others.

“We are delighted to have partnered with OOTS to deliver Region Ready: HealthTech. The Healthcare & Social Assistance sector is the region’s largest employer and fastest growing sector,” Trevor said.

“The video highlights the Hunter’s strengths as a HealthTech location and captures the excitement of our local stakeholders about the potential to seize opportunities in the high-value sector.

“The video, together with our new HealthTech Investment Prospectus, also launched today, will help us raise the Hunter’s profile nationally and start conversations about the region’s potential as a destination for the development and delivery of health discoveries.”

RDA Hunter and Out of the Square encourage local businesses to use the video to help them make new connections and promote the Hunter Region.

The Newcastle & The Hunter – HealthTech Ready video is available to view at OOTS website.
