Off the back of a record first half to 2018 with client growth, new business wins and a broadening capability, Newcastle’s largest marketing company, Enigma, has added nine new hires to its team. The new additions have grown the agency to 60 people.
Joining the Enigma team over the past 6 months is a group of fresh new faces all passionate about marketing and its place in the future.
With a strong mix of digital, content, social and communications talent, most of the new team are filling newly created roles, signalling a growth in Newcastle’s creative industry.
Enigma Founder, Lisa Sutton-Gardner said the opportunities are part of the business’ commitment to supporting young creative talent.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to ensure we’re infusing youthfulness and its ability to challenge the status quo across the agency but, more importantly, we’re creating jobs in the region and a platform for these bright young guns to become superstars of the future,” Lisa said.
Grace joins the digital media team; Greg joins client management in a graduate position; Ryan, a digital native who designs and codes, joins the integrated studio; Callan joins the creative department as a writer; and joining the PR team are Georgia, Sophie taking up the reigns of a PR internship and Tess, an experienced journalist.
Rounding out the new crew are Louis, a fast-moving content ninja, and Laura, procuring best price and practice.
Enigma’s main growth areas are in line with the reshaping of the communications industry – developing a completely new video content division, strengthening social capability and digital design. Other areas of growth are digital media planning/buying, public relations and marketing strategy.
To accommodate their growing business, Enigma has taken control of an additional level at 21 Bolton Street and has created a street front presence with a new fit out by Murray James Architects and Graph Building, due to open in October.
The new staff announcements and office expansion comes ahead of the Enigma Brand Summit, which is a brand focused thought leadership conference to be held in Newcastle on September 20. Speakers from across the country will transcend on Foghorn Brewhouse for one night only on September 20 to discuss cutting edge brand practice and the value of internal culture.
