The HunterNet Group Training Company has employed approximately 900 apprentices and trainees since its commencement in 1996 and, for the first time in the organisation’s history, the team has welcomed a trainee based directly in the HunterNet Office.
Jarna Hedley was appointed to the role of Business Administration Trainee in March 2019. Her role is to support the HunterNet members, host companies and staff. Jarna is an office all-rounder assisting in day-to-day office duties, onboarding of apprentices and trainees and forum/event preparations.
HunterNet CEO, Tony Cade said this is a significant milestone for HunterNet.
“We’ve been providing educational opportunities and pastoral care to young people in our region for the past 23 years. It’s an exciting new venture for us to be able to provide that support in house, as well as offering our services to local businesses,” Tony said.
Prior to joining HunterNet, Jarna studied at Warners Bay High School and pursued a career as a childcare educator. She also had the opportunity to work in her family’s business, which sparked her interest in a career in administration.
HunterNet Group Training Company General Manager, Nick Couper said Jarna is a valuable asset to the member-based organisation.
“In just a few short weeks, Jarna has already established herself as an integral part of the HunterNet team,” Nick said.
“Businesses simply cannot operate without good support from the administrative team. They keep everything going and make the rest of us look good.
“We have a fantastic team in Jackie, Edie and now Jarna and we look forward to following Jarna as she progresses through her studies.”
