Newcastle Permanent continues to strive to lead the way in member engagement and satisfaction by rolling out a new branch design, based on improving customer interaction.
Sticking to the mantra ‘here for good’, Newcastle Permanent launched the new branch design this year, with Jesmond being the first Newcastle branch to be renovated. The branch has also moved location within the Jesmond shopping complex, allowing better access for members.
CEO Terry Millett said 2014 had been a year of expansion and improvement for Newcastle Permanent; in addition to moving and refurbishing the Jesmond branch, Newcastle Permanent has also opened three branches in the Central West and one in Medowie.
“As part of an extensive branch refurbishment program the Jesmond branch is now a reflection of our “new look” branches providing modern, convenient and comfortable facilities for our members and staff,” Terry said.
“Newcastle Permanent is determined to continue to change the nature of banking to suit its members. While we have seen a shift in transactional banking to online, our members still want face-to-face time with staff for sales and services.”
“Our new state-of-the-art branches offer members more choice of how they engage with Newcastle Permanent in a relaxed and practical manner. We will continue to roll out the new branch design next year,” Terry continued.
“Newcastle Permanent already has more branches and ATMs in Newcastle and the Hunter than any of our competitors, and we continue to invest in improving access for our members.”
This month Newcastle Permanent has also won four awards in Money Magazine’s Best of the Best Award 2015 in the non-bank category including Cheapest Three-Year Fixed Home Loan, Cheapest Personal Loan, Cheapest Business Credit Card and Best Savings Account.
