Ampcontrol has announced that Managing Director & CEO Rod Henderson will step down at the end of June 2025, marking the close of an extraordinary 25-year chapter with the business.
Rod joined Ampcontrol in 1999 and held a number of senior leadership positions before being appointed CEO in 2014 and Managing Director of the Board in 2015.
“Leading and working with such a talented and dedicated team has been a privilege. I am extremely proud of our accomplishments over the past decade as Managing Director & CEO, and of the robust foundation we have established for continued success,” Mr Henderson said.
“Reflecting on our journey, I remain impressed by some of our achievements and developments. Notably, we have pioneered world-first technologies and solutions in the resources sector and successfully transitioned to manufacturing intensive care-ready ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Ampcontrol Board Chairman Greg Sedgwick acknowledged Rod’s impact on the company and the industry.
“Rod has provided the business with strong leadership during this time,” Mr Sedgwick said. “There have been many accomplishments in his career, including industry-leading safety performance, earnings growth, and positioning Ampcontrol for a strong role in a decarbonisation future.”
The Ampcontrol Board has engaged executive search firm Derwent Consulting to lead the process of appointing a new CEO. The internal and external recruitment process will take place in the coming months.
“Ampcontrol is well-positioned for the future. Now is the time to give the steering wheel to someone else to continue driving the vision forward,” Mr Henderson added.
“After 25 years with Ampcontrol, I look forward to stepping back, taking a well-earned break, and moving on to the next adventure. I do not doubt that Ampcontrol will reach even greater heights in the coming years. I can’t wait to see what incredible things can be achieved for our customers, industry, community and people.”
“On behalf of the entire organisation, we thank Rod for his dedicated and committed service to Ampcontrol over the past 25 years and wish him all the best for the future,” Mr Sedgwick said.
