Australian independent media brand Façon Magazine has reached its 10-year publishing milestone with the release of a digital Rétrospective Edition. The anniversary release indexes a decade of editorial production, cultural documentation, and commercial creative collaboration across the fashion, beauty, and entertainment sectors.
Established as an independent boutique fashion title, the publication has maintained a decade of operations within a shifting national media market. The retrospective issue consolidates archival editorial campaigns, corporate partnerships, and cover features that have defined the brand’s market positioning.
The issue documents collaborations with prominent Australian public figures, including Ricki-Lee Coulter, Tegan Martin, Vera Blue, Kate Ritchie, and Samantha Harris.
The publication’s inaugural cover subject, entrepreneur Samantha Wills commented on the title’s role as an independent archive of national design and creative history.
“What the Façon team has built over the past ten years is more than a publication, it’s a cultural record. A timestamp of culture, of taste, of creative thinking that has not been outsourced or diluted,” Samantha said.
Beyond its core editorial stream, the media brand has established corporate social responsibility initiatives within the creative economy, most notably through its annual Indigenous Storytellers Scholarship programme, which funds and mentors emerging First Nations artists.
Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Façon Australia, Lara Lupish said maintaining a decade of print and digital distribution highlights the viability of niche, audience-focused media models.
“Reaching 10 years is incredibly significant for any independent publication, particularly in today’s media climate,” Lara said.
“This Rétrospective Edition is both a celebration of where Façon began and where it’s heading next.”
The digital edition has been made commercially available via global digital publishing platform Issuu.
