The Hunter Business Chamber has welcomed former NBN Television Sales Director, Brad Rogers and marketing specialist, Gillian Maxlow to its Board and team.
Brad has been appointed to the Commercial Manager role with the Hunter Business Chamber. Brad will be responsible for membership, sales, services, marketing and related financial reporting matters as well as work across the chamber’s extensive events program.
Hunter Business Chamber CEO, Bob Hawes said Brad joined at the right time.
“Brad joins the chamber at a pivotal time as we work through bringing on new initiatives across products, services and membership following an extensive review undertaken by the NSW Business Chamber,” Bob said.
“It is also exciting that Brad has extensive knowledge of the workings of business in the region, having been in contact with so many businesses and particularly small and medium sized enterprise over a long time period.”
Gillian Maxlow of MaxedOut Solutions has joined the Hunter Business Chamber’s Board as the representative for local business chambers across the region. The appointment follows the resignation of Jennie Lyons earlier in the year.
Hunter Business Chamber President, Jonathan Vandervoort said the Chamber consulted with and sought nominations from its affiliated local chambers following Jennie leaving and Gillian emerged through the election process that followed as the successful candidate.
“Gillian is a digital marketing specialist and the successful founder of Maxedout Solutions, a business based in Lake Macquarie that assists other businesses with digital marketing and social media training,” Jonathan said.
“Gillian will bring different skills and experience to the current board and I’m sure she will add value to the work of the Chamber across the interests of the local chambers,” Jonathan said.
The Hunter Business Chamber has also commenced the process to seek nominations and election for eight positions on the current board. The successful candidates will be appointed for the period 2018 to 2020.
“Some of the existing directors have either reached the end of their term and are ineligible to re-nominate or are unable to re-nominate due to work conflicts, so we are anticipating a number of new faces coming onto the board,” Jonathan said.
