Prosperity Advisers Group has appointed Tony Nimac as Chair, a move intended to support the firm’s governance and national expansion strategy. Tony, a former KPMG Australia Partner and Board member, succeeds to the role after working with Prosperity as a senior consultant and strategic advisor for the past two years.
With more than 30 years of experience at KPMG, Tony previously led the firm’s mid-market practice through a period of growth that included partner recruitment, acquisitions and the establishment of a Western Sydney office. His professional background includes providing audit, risk and deal advisory services to Australian growth companies such as ResMed, Appen and Canva.
Founder and CEO of Prosperity Advisers Group, Allan McKeown said the appointment reflects the firm’s objective to scale its operations across its existing Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane offices.
“Tony’s experience leading a major professional services practice makes him well placed to chair Prosperity,” Allan said.
“He brings strategic insight and connections within the private capital and growth business community. His leadership will support our efforts to expand our footprint and service capability.”
Tony said the appointment formalises his relationship with the firm, which operates an integrated model across tax, accounting, financial planning and employee benefits.
“The firm has momentum and significant opportunity ahead,” Tony said.
“I look forward to working with the board and executive team to support long-term growth and success.”
The appointment is part of a broader leadership evolution at Prosperity as the firm strengthens its strategic oversight. Prosperity currently employs 200 people and provides business advisory and wealth management services to a diverse range of corporate and private clients.
