Hunt Hospitality reinvent growth in the industry with renowned chef

Hunt Hospitality is re-inventing the hospitality game by flying home from Laos, internationally renowned Australian Executive Chef, Troy Medynski to join their team.

Troy has managed many large hospitality teams within the IHG Crowne Plaza Hotel chain, Australian Chamber of Commerce, and Etihad Airways.

He brings with him a skillful mindset and eye for diversity to the Hunt Hospitality team.

Managing Director of Hunt Hospitality, Stephen Hunt said Troy will help to make their menus stand out from the crowd.

Troy’s keenness for fresh produce, will also see him working closely with many local suppliers.

“For Hunt Hospitality to strategically bring in Troy as the Groups Executive Chef during this current climate will re-invigorate not only our amazing menu selection and staff support, but also bridge gaps that have been created during this down time,” Stephen said.

“We always think of and wish to support our local suppliers. By having Troy on board, we will be able to honour those relationships even more.”

Stephen adds that recruiting Troy means not only means affordable luxury for community patrons, but touts that it’s also opportunity for their team to receive world renowned leadership from one of the best in the industry.

“When you recruit well, you don’t have to recruit often,” Stephen said.

“Our aim always remains to make people’s days and we believe with Troy coming on board we can offer our customers an awesome experience at an affordable price.

“The training and leadership he will bring to our team will ensure we achieve this.”

Troy is currently focusing on expanding the culinary options of quality fine dining for the Kent Hotel, which patrons tout as one of Newcastle’s inner city, iconic foodie hubs.

“Bringing in a bit of zing to some Aussie favourites and adding some new exotic flavours to the menu is exactly what we all need when the time is announced that we can drink, eat and come together again,” Troy said.

“The whole team and I are looking forward to celebrating this time with everyone.”

The Hunt Hospitality venues continue to expand with the Imperial Hotel, Maitland recently joining the groups successful Kent, Seabreeze, Duke of Wellington, Ocean View Hotel, and Finnian’s Tavern.
