Gen Collective committee is continuing to grow

2023 is a year of growth for Gen Collective, with the committee growing to a team of 10 women all from the Hunter region.

Joining the Board is Organisational Development Manager at Perform HR, Caitlin Powell, Communication Specialist at The Marketing GP, Brodey Corbett, and Myf Garven, who is a self-employed Graphic Designer and Photographer.

They will sit alongside committee members, Kate Bernardino, Emilia Cardillo, Katelyn Stokes, Adrienne Donnelly, Amy-Lea Pettigrew, Darcy Luck and Victoria De Marchi who have all been on the board for a number of years now.

Gen Collective President, Kate Bernardino said the all-female led team is excited to bring the Hunter region a number of exciting networking events and learning development opportunities this year.

“We know how busy everyone is these days, so we’ve launched our full calendar year of events early this year so that anyone who wants to attend our events is able to plan for it ahead of time,” Kate said.

“As usual, we’re organising a variety of events to compliment all the different types of business people out there so that there’s one for everyone.

“There will be purely networking events, luncheons, dinners, and even a learning development conference.”

At the end of March, Gen Collective is hosting their 6th international Women’s Day (IWD) Luncheon to celebrate this year’s theme of embracing equity.

The team is renowned for their line-up of national profile guest speakers, and this year is no different with Gen Collective bringing special guest Sam Bloom to Merewether Surfhouse on Friday 31 March 2023.

Vice President, Emilia Cardillo said securing Sam was a huge win for the committee, as Sam’s story is one that should be shared throughout the region.

“We are very excited to round off the month of IWD celebrations with our event to celebrate the powerhouse women within our community,” Emilia said.

Gen Collective would like to make a special thanks to the generosity of local businesses who sponsored this event, Spillane Property, LH Agenda, Sycnhronicity Wealth, Muse Pilates, Novo Finance, A.I.R Recruitment and Coast Finance Group.
