Experienced Office Furniture release post COVID-19 guide for businesses

Hunter based office furniture manufacturers, Experienced Office Furniture (EOF), have recently witnessed unprecedented changes in the office furniture industry.

And now with people making the shift back into the communal workplace, Experienced Office Furniture see the need for businesses to be equipped with relevant and up-to-date advice.

Listening to questions from clients inspired the EOF team to produce a Returning to Work Post COVID-19 guide.

The guide is designed to answer all common questions and provide accurate information which will help businesses make a plan and ultimately get back to business.

Experienced Office Furniture Marketing Director, Ainslie Wildschut, said the new COVID-19 guidelines are quite specific and therefore putting strategies in place and sourcing products which can meet the new requirements can be challenging.

“As businesses struggle to survive during this period it is vital that productivity isn’t impacted,” Ainslie said.

“In many cases EOF has been able to offer advice to reconfigure office spaces and utilise existing office furniture.”

Ainslie said the aim of the guide is to encourage local businesses to evaluate their workplaces and ideally make the required alterations with limited disruption and cost to the business.

The guide gives advice on how to access your current workplace, identify the key areas which don’t comply to new distancing rules and introduce procedures which will minimise the risk of infection spread.

The guide also highlights strategies in regard to occupancy, floor plan layout and the option to divide the office space through the use barriers and screens.

“The possibilities are endless, and in many cases, we have devised new floor plans and introduced creative design elements which have enhanced the existing office space. The main request from our clients is to create a space where their employees feel safe to share with their co-workers,” she said.

“Limiting the use of communal zones of the office is also crucial to reducing the risk of infection control. Companies are making the move away from traditional boardrooms and opting for standing meetings at a high bench and reducing the use of shared stools and chairs.”

Experienced Office Furniture General Manager, Paul Wildschut, said their team is well placed to provide the Hunter with post COVID-19 office spaces which will help infection control in the coming months.

“Our product is Australian made, manufactured here in the Hunter, and our capacity to meet tight timeframes and provide custom joinery solutions will be crucial as the Hunter gets back to business,” Paul said.

“Our experienced team is ready to rise to the new challenges and keep our business community safe,” he concluded.
