EMM has announced they will be joining forces with Hunter-based acoustics consultancy, Global Acoustics.
Global Acoustics was established in November 2000 providing advisory, noise and vibration services across Australia. Global Acoustics’ services includes predictive noise modelling, environmental noise monitoring, sound power testing of mobile and fixed plant, noise management plans, architectural acoustics, WHS/Safe Work noise exposure testing, blast monitoring, and whole-body vibration testing.
The addition of the Global Acoustics team will add a wider and complementary range of skills and experience to EMM’s existing national acoustics team.
The additional capability will allow for strengthened skills in modelling and sound power testing, as well as significantly expanding capacity for providing noise monitoring services.
EMM’s CEO, Liz Webb, said “the integration is an exciting opportunity to expand one of our founding technical capabilities.”
“It is fantastic to welcome the Global Acoustics team to EMM. The culture and value mindset of the Global Acoustics people is aligned to EMM, with both companies being people focused, high performance companies.”
“The combination of the Global Acoustics knowledge and capability in modelling, combined with EMM’s experience in obtaining approvals for large-scale projects, is a dynamic opportunity to leverage the team nationally in the mining, energy and infrastructure and property sectors.”
“Together we will provide acoustics services and create opportunities by ensuring the best environmental, social, and economic outcomes for our clients,” Liz said.
Global Acoustics Director, Tony Welbourne, commented on the partnership adding, “there is a natural alignment joining forces with EMM, with the exciting opportunity for continued growth of our team and services to our clients.”
“With many synergies in approach to delivery, our clients will benefit with access to a wider set of complementary environmental and advisory services and an even wider team to deliver projects locally and nationally.”
“My relationship with many of the team at EMM spans over 10 years with mutual trust and our value alignment always very clear,” said Tony.
The Global Acoustics acquisition complements EMM’s existing presence in Newcastle and expands the national team to 18 acousticians. With the expanded capability, EMM’s operations now comprise 250 staff with 10 offices across Australia and internationally in Canada.
