Dantia announces three new Board Directors

Lake Macquarie Economic Development Company, Dantia has announced the appointment of three new Board Directors to continue progressing transformational growth and employment outcomes for the Lake Macquarie economy.

The new Board appointments are senior business leaders with local and national expertise across key areas such as technology and the circular economy.

New directors include Founder and CEO of Go Circular, Annie Jiang; Chief Technology Officer, Jonathan Milgate; and Executive Director, Jonathan Vandervoort.

Dantia’s CEO, Joshua Sattler said the refreshed Board supports the future focus of the organisation and will extend Dantia’s reach and impact.

“This is an exciting time for Dantia and Lake Mac,” Joshua said

“These additions to the existing Board sets us up for attracting investment and long-term employment opportunities in the City and the broader region in the future.

“Circular economy is a key component of the Dantia Operational Plan.

“It has the potential to have an economic impact value of $100-$500 million annually. Having someone with Annie’s experience on the board, will help assess the feasibility of projects and initiatives, critical to the accelerated delivery of these outcomes.”

Annie agrees and says that Dantia is one of the most progressive economic development organisations she has seen.

Similarly, Jonathan Vandervoort and Jonathan Milgate come with extensive business experience.

Jonathan Vandervoort has over ten years in Executive and Director roles with major listed mining companies and export shipping terminals and a further five years as a Group Executive with a Federal Government national rail infrastructure provider. He also has a two-year tenure as Board President/Chair of Business Hunter.

“It is an exciting time to be joining the Dantia Board,” Jonathan Vandervoort said.

Jonathan Milgate is a known figure in the local tech scene, building and fostering a community of engaged technologists. His knowledge will be invaluable when applying a future thinking approach to implementing technologies and design thinking for a smart economy in Lake Mac.

“We have the potential to be the technology and innovation hub for Australia,” Jonathan Milgate said.

Operating since 2014, Dantia is a model of independent economic development, advocating for and supporting projects of significant scale for the future of Lake Macquarie
