The Business Centre gets China Ready

The Business Centre in collaboration with ACSME (Australia China Small Medium Enterprise Association) has announced a new initiative to discuss the growing opportunities between Chinese and Australian businesses.

With the growth of China’s middle class, demand for quality manufacturing and innovation processes puts Australian-based operators firmly in China’s sight for partnership.

The China Ready business seminar is a roundtable forum aimed to identify opportunities for local operators to trade with Chinese businesses and vice versa, in order to meet this demand.

The seminar, taking place tomorrow evening, will provide a unique opportunity to meet, discuss and engage with businesses, international Chinese business students, members of the Chinese business community and key regional stakeholders.

This business seminar is a world café styled format where participants can expect to share knowledge, workshop ideas and have the opportunity to strengthen global partnerships in our region.

This event marks the Business Centre’s commitment to supporting pathways between local and international businesses and helping businesses to tap into one of the most competitive markets in the world.

Chief Executive Officer at the Business Centre, Pierre Malou sees the Hunter’s manufacturing and innovation ecosystem as a major asset for the middle class Chinese market who demands quality manufacturing.

“The Hunter region’s strategic assets provide interest for our global neighbours. Our mix of industry and manufacturing capabilities makes us an attractive partner if we can be ready for the opportunities knocking at our door,” Pierre said.

Guest speakers at the seminar include David Thomas from ACSME; Cher Jones as the China Business Expert in Residence; and Steve Wait, Chief Operations Officer at the Business Centre.

Guest speakers will share their experience operating in the region and discuss how to identify opportunities and build partnerships with investors, ventures, and manufacturing partners.

The event will take place tomorrow night at The Business Centre.
