The Brand Pool appoints new Creative Director, Richard Smith

Independent creative agency, The Brand Pool has again boosted its ranks, hiring Richard Smith to the position of Creative Director.

Smith arrives with over 16 years of experience and brings a strong focus on digital, creative, UX, strategy, social and content solutions. Smith has won over 12 international and national creative and design awards, having worked on some of Australia’s most iconic brands, namely the re-brand and hugely successful launch of ‘CAN’ for Commonwealth Bank.

Previous agency experience includes M&C Saatchi, VML and With Collective and most recently at Southern Cross Austereo, heading up their digital design and UX department.

“I’m passionate about creating experiences, services and products that enrich customer interaction with brands,” Richard said.

“What attracted me to The Brand Pool was their ability to unravel complex brand problems by distilling them into simple truths. Having worked in London and Sydney, I’m thrilled to be in the thriving, creative city of Newcastle to help The Brand Pool and their clients deliver world-class solutions.
