Layne Beachley to speak at Regional Women Connect

During September, the annual Regional Women Connect conference will play host to seven-time ASP Women's World Champion Layne Beachley and successful businesswomen Amanda Rose.

Presented by the Hunter Business Women's Network and in its fourth year, the event draws together women from the Hunter Region to network and build relationships and be inspired and empowered by the guest speakers.

Layne Beachley is one of Australia's greatest athletes and since retiring from the world tour one of her projects was to establish the Layne Beachley Aim For The Stars Foundation.

Celebrating achievement and supporting the journey of Australia's young women, the Foundation provides financial and moral support to encourage them to dare to dream, pursue their passion and aspire to achieve in all endeavours such as academia, business, arts and sport.

Amanda Rose is an industry commentator and dynamic businesswomen and in 2012 she established the first and only radio program in Australia for business women, The Business Woman radio.

The list of women (and men!) Amanda has interviewed is extensive and varied, including the Queen of Racing Gai Waterhouse, Carolyn Creswell of Carmens and Telstra Businesswoman of the Year 2012, Janine Allis the founder and Managing Director of Boost Juice Bars, the Editor of Leading Company Kath Walters and many more!
