Hunter-based financial administration firm Beam Bookkeeping has expanded its commercial footprint into the Port Stephens market following an operational integration with local agency Ivy Bookkeeping. The business merger scales Beam’s existing corporate infrastructure across Newcastle, Maitland, Sydney, and Port Stephens, placing a dedicated client-facing services team permanently on the ground in Nelson Bay.
The consolidated entity expands the availability of corporate compliance, automated payroll administration, cloud-based reporting systems, and general ledger management for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) across the Port Stephens peninsula.
Managing Director of Beam Bookkeeping, Katie McCool said the infrastructure expansion aligns with sustained regional demand for external back-office accounting services.
“Port Stephens has been a region we have continued growing within over recent years, and establishing a stronger local presence was a natural next step for our team,” Katie said.
“This is an exciting step for Beam, but more importantly, it is about making sure local business owners have access to the support, experience and care they need to feel confident in their numbers and in control of their business.”
The business combination pools the regional data compliance experience and local enterprise networks of both firms. As part of the transition, the Nelson Bay office will absorb existing operational workflows into Beam’s standardized cloud accounting and cloud software platforms.
