Port Stephens businesses given the gift of balance ahead of festive season

Small business owners face an ongoing struggle: finding balance between limited resources and growing demands, with the addition of external influences during a busy end-of-year.

Software giant, Xero recently conducted a report with small business owners and found that 44 per cent of participants said they were feeling stressed more than half the time. They determined the overall wellbeing of small business owners is affected by business-related stress, lack of rest and the fulfilment of work.

Life, work, family and health remain a constant struggle. Bookkeeping services firm, Beam Bookkeeping is looking to alleviate pressure on local business owners by providing a pathway to a more balanced approach.

With a new office located in Salamander Bay, the team is helping to take on the responsibility of one of the many hats business owners wear – by offering a local, on-the-ground bookkeeping service.

Beam Bookkeeping offers tailored services for businesses and is one of the largest bookkeeping service providers in the Hunter region and NSW.

Managing Director, Katie McCool said they understand the challenges business face and their approach is focused on creating time and space for business owners to spend where they strategically choose to whether that be for business or personal betterment.

“From COVID and beyond, local businesses have faced a lot of challenges. A declining workforce, barriers to recruiting the right personnel and ongoing demands from competition and their clients mean business owners are often faced with under-resourcing, which grows even more tiring as the year comes to a close,” Katie said.

“Our new office in Port Stephens will give local business owners reprieve by giving them the ultimate gift – time back in their business and in their lives.”

Director, Debbie Mirisch went on to say, “We offer a bespoke solution for clients which is tailored to meet their specific needs.”

“By working closely with them we can support them to get on track and stay there, helping to improve ease around decision-making to propel their business forward.

“We’re proud to bring local expertise to businesses we already have relationships within Port Stephens and look forward to connecting with more business owners who recognise the need to free up time for the benefit of their business as well as their personal wellbeing.”

The new office for Beam Bookkeeping is in Suite 3, 4 Central Ave, Salamander Bay.
