It’s all about expansion and growth for Newcastle business advisory and accounting firm, PKF as they are set to welcome back alumni, Victoria Dawes to their specialist tax team as a Principal.
Adding to the firm’s strong tax presence, Victoria joins Darren Shone, a well-known Newcastle personality known for his expertise in complex tax matters, that few others can address. The tax team in Newcastle work closely with firms across the Hunter.
Beginning her career in Newcastle, Victoria first made the step to PKF in early 2017. Having completed the firm’s Thrive and Lead program, she thrived in the mid-tier environment, managing a large portfolio of clients and a team within the firm’s business advisory offering.
Even after moving to Sydney, Victoria maintained her Hunter-based client portfolio and continued to be part of the Newcastle team, despite her physical and social presence in the firm’s Sydney office.
“It is very exciting that I get to be a part of the PKF team again. Having not only a local, but global network of knowledge, and a team that values collaboration, is something that every professional looks for, in helping to grow their career,” Victoria said.
“I have well and truly found my place at PKF and look forward to taking on this new role with the support of the firm.”
It was Victoria’s passion for all things culture, teamwork, and client success, that fueled her return to PKF, this time from a base in Adelaide.
Victoria will once again take on the challenge of managing client priorities whilst working remotely, with the odd visit thrown in.
“We are so excited to have Vic back on the team. Some people are truly made for the tax and advisory world, and she is one of them,” said Tax Partner, Darren Shone.
“Focusing on the growth of our team has been the number one priority this year and we are glad to see top talent making the return to the firm.”
The tax team in Newcastle will expand further with the hire of Troy McIntyre, dedicated tax adviser of over 10 years’ experience, joining the team.
Troy will be making the shift from the Australian Tax Office (ATO), bringing along an extensive profile of commercial experience and unique insight.
“Having inside knowledge from the ATO, is extremely valuable for our firm. This expansion of our tax team is evident of our constant dedication to providing only the best service to our clients,” Darren said.
The firm look forward to leveraging this further gradient of knowledge into the business advisory team, and ultimately for the benefit of their clients.
