Precision’s Kelly Eke recognised as one of the Top 50 Women in Accounting

Precision Taxation Accounting and Management’s Chief Operations Officer, Kelly Eke, has been recognised as one of the Top 50 Women in Accounting for 2021.

The Women in Accounting initiative was launched on International Women’s Day in 2018 and is supported by Ignition to honour and recognise women driving change and creating opportunities for the next generation within the accounting and bookkeeping industry.

This year’s awards focused on celebrating women’s unique and diverse stories, striving towards personal and professional progress within the industry.

“Being able to inspire my peers and colleagues by promoting the benefits of embracing diversity and inclusion in our firm and industry is a privilege,” said Kelly.

“There is no shortage of exceptional women who are making an impact on our industry and communities. So being included in this list for a second time, especially given this year’s theme of celebrating the unique differences, is incredibly meaningful,” she said.

Kelly began her career as a receptionist in the accounting industry in 2004. She developed a unique grassroots perspective while working her way up the ranks through multiple roles.

Since joining Precision in its first year of operation eight years ago, Kelly was encouraged and empowered to create impactful change within the industry and the broader business community.

She has been instrumental in developing Precision’s nationally award-winning Workplace Wellness Program, CAREwithPrecision, and its Diversity Equity and Inclusion Program, We Are Precision.

“It is no understatement to say that Kelly has been instrumental in reshaping Precision into the firm it is today,” said Peter McCarthy, Principal Accountant at Precision.

“When it comes to women driving positive change and advocating diversity, equity, and inclusion within the accounting industry and the broader community, I cannot think of anyone more active than Kelly,” he finished.

This year’s awards showcased women’s true power, potential, diverse experiences, and work in the accounting industry and received close to 1000 nominations from eight different countries.

These 50 women are change-makers, trailblazers, and leaders dedicated to driving intentional and meaningful change.
