Hunter Valley real estate business, McElwaine Estate Agents is one of a number of businesses that have come on board to support the return of the Maitland Triathlon for its 19th year.
One of the oldest triathlons in NSW, the involvement of McElwaine Estate Agents as naming rights sponsors and the support of local businesses has helped the event return after a five year break.
Director of McElwaine Estate Agents, Natasha McElwaine said supporting the event and, therefore, the community was a no-brainer.
“The Maitland Triathlon has always held a special place in the hearts of locals in the Hunter Valley,” Natasha said.
“When the opportunity came up for McElwaine Estate Agents to come on board and sponsor the event for its return after five years, we simply had to say yes.”
The 1,500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run event will take place in Morpeth on Sunday 12 November 2017.
Maitland Triathlon Event Director, Paul Humphreys said he was delighted to have so many local businesses on board for this year’s event.
“The event is a true collaboration of Newcastle and Hunter Valley businesses, with local businesses supporting the event both as sponsors and also sponsoring their staff to participate,” Paul said.
“It has always been about participation and fun, although we get plenty of serious triathletes looking for line or age group honour. It’s a fun day with no shortage of hanger oners enjoying Morpeth’s cafes and pubs post event.”
Natasha said the McElwaine team is looking forward to cheering on fellow locals and neighbours on the day.
“Beyond helping people to begin the next chapter in their lives through home ownership and sales, this is another chance for us to do our bit for those who give so much to us,” Natasha said.
