Local marketing agency moves to bigger premises in Carrodise

Following the unprecedented year that was 2020, local marketing agency The Marketing GP has celebrated the new year by relocating to larger premises.

Having weathered the COVID-19 storm and come out the other side stronger than ever, the Carrington-based agency has created a new headquarters to better accommodate its growing team and services to its clients.

Chief Marketer, Holly Martin, said having diversified its service portfolio and welcomed new members to the team, The Marketing GP had outgrown its former space.

“Despite the challenges of the pandemic, 2020 was a year of significant consolidation for The Marketing GP. We encouraged our clients to remain proactive in their marketing approach and maintain momentum in their brand awareness and industry reputation,” Holly said.

“As a result, our clients maintained or improved their market visibility and continued to benefit from our strategic and integrated marketing approach. And we had the opportunity to expand our service offering and build the expertise of the team.”

Over the course of 2020, The Marketing GP expanded from a team of eight to 12, increasing capabilities in inbound marketing, website development, social media, copywriting, and general marketing.

“We were getting very cramped in the previous office space, with a complicated office/work from home set up to ensure we maintained social distancing.”

“Luckily, we didn’t need to look far to find our new HQ, moving from one side of Young Street to the other,” Holly said.

The new space reflects the collaborative nature of The Marketing GP, featuring several meeting rooms and a large board room that comfortably accommodates clients and the team.

A room dedicated to the recording of podcasts and client interviews has been fitted out with specialist recording equipment, and a media wall has been created to provide a professional setting for video recording.

“The aim was to make The Marketing GP’s headquarters a hub for ingenuity with plenty of room to break out into groups to brainstorm and encourage strategic collaboration. We were also conscious that, as a busy office, it’s important to have the physical space to support mindfulness and creative thinking,” she said.

The opportunity to remain in Carrington was ideal for the agency, which has established its roots in the community. Being close to the emerging new central business district business in Newcastle West while retaining an inner-city oasis with the warmth of a close-knit small-town community made it difficult to look elsewhere for a larger office.

“Kicking off 2021 in our new headquarters cements The Marketing GP team in the ideal position to continue and build on the momentum we achieved navigating the uncharted territory of 2020,” Holly said.
