Local Business and Public Relations Coach, Niki Hennessy, has been short-listed as a finalist in the 2017/18 Beautiful You Coaching Academy (BYCA) Awards for her transformative e-course program, DIY PR Pro. The prestigious awards recognise the achievements and contributions of BYCA graduates across the globe.

Niki developed DIY PR Pro, a 6-week guided e-course which launched in August 2017, to support female creatives, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs to build their profile and promote their business through strategic and feel-good PR and self-promotion.

Niki said the course addresses a specific pain-point experienced by many female entrepreneurs, a chronic reluctance to self-promote or publicise their business.

“The concept of self-promotion, growing their profile and building their brand presence often makes female entrepreneurs cringe, and this is especially true within the creative community,” Niki said.

“DIY PR Pro empowers women with the confidence, knowledge and tools to build their profile and own their voice as a leader in their industry.

“It takes away the cringe-factor by helping participants to connect with their why, the greater purpose, cause or belief that inspires them, and teaches them how to use this to fuel their promotion with passion and purpose.”

Listed as a finalist in the Event or Program of the year category, DIY PR Pro arms participants with the strategy, skills, tactics and tools needed to be their own brand ambassador, empowering them with the confidence to integrate PR into their business, all in a way that aligns with their values.

Winners of the 2017/18 BYCA Awards will be announced at a gala dinner in Melbourne on the 16th March.
