Environmental and social consultancy, Umwelt has marked a special milestone on the calendar. The business has entered its 25th year of providing services to clients from across the nation from offices here in the Hunter, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.
Early 2018 has also seen the launch of Umwelt’s employee share plan, reinforcing a key value to reward and recognise the contribution of its dedicated and committed team.
Further, as part of the succession strategy, Umwelt’s Founding Director, Peter Jamieson resigned as a Director of Umwelt (Australia) Pty Ltd to focus on growing Anditi Pty Ltd, which is a technology start-up company that Umwelt started in 2014.
Barbara Crossley continues as Managing Director of Umwelt, leading a dedicated team of team of over 100 professionals with the experience and expertise to deliver services across infrastructure, defence, mining, quarrying, urban development, renewables, and government sectors.
Barbara said the future looks bright for Umwelt.
“We have had the pleasure of assisting our clients to chart a path to effective environmental and social outcomes in the Hunter and nationally for 25 years and we are excited to be launching our next chapter with the roll out of our employee share plan,” Barbara said.
“We continue to challenge ourselves to adapt and apply innovative solutions and look forward to ongoing collaboration with the Anditi team, in addition to plenty of exciting new opportunities for the Umwelt team.”
Since 1993, Umwelt has delivered services to over 5,000 projects with a combined capital value of over $10B. Umwelt’s focus is on providing clients with fully integrated environmental and social assessment and management services from concept and feasibility through to technical assessment, consultation and approvals to delivery, operation and decommissioning.
In addition, theirspecialist teams provide ecology, cultural heritage, noise, water and social/community engagement services as part of integrated assessments, and for specific expert matters.
Headquartered from the purpose-built and NABERS 5 Star rated energy efficient facility in Teralba, Umwelt is a proud contributor to the local community.
